Utrecht @ Shanghai - Welcome!
The “Holland Knowledge Inc Days”, organized by the Province and Municipality of Utrecht, was held in the VIP room of the Dutch pavilion ‘Happy Street’ during the World Expo in Shanghai, taking place from 23rd to 30th May inclusive. The theme of World Expo 2010 is “Better City, Better Life”. Utrecht’s chosen themes are knowledge and gaming. Dutch and Chinese companies and knowledge institutions with an excellent track record in teaching, research and knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship will give project demonstrations about gaming, sustainable product development, construction and renewable energy.
Utrecht-based talents and cultural institutions will also be in attendance, with two evening presentations in the Dutch Culture Centre in Shanghai.
Utrecht is centrally located in the Netherlands. Boasting a broad, knowledge-intensive economy, the best university in the country and a highly educated population, Utrecht has tremendous growth opportunities. Utrecht’s mission during the World Expo 2010 is to convince as many visitors as possible of its cast-iron reputation in the field of knowledge and culture.
